Rob Caudill is a dead-on Rod Stewart Tribute Artist. So, it's no surprise this singer has carved out a career 'recreating' Rod Stewart. From kicking out soccer balls to spinning mic stands, to belting out all of Rod's greatest hits - Caudill's high-energy show is a must-see event for people of all ages.
Rob began his musical career after graduating high school and moving to Memphis, TN to study music at MSU. Rob Caudill began his career playing bass for local bands and doing session work. His first major break came with "The Breaks," who signed with RCA Records. Their single "She Wants You" was on heavy rotation on MTV, leading to an opportunity with Bugle Boy Clothing for their first MTV commercial. After "The Breaks" disbanded, Rob formed "The Willys" with legendary guitarist Shawn Lane, making them one of Memphis' top bands. He also did session work with Joe Walsh of the Eagles and jammed with members of The Who, Cheap Trick, Allman Brothers Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Survivor, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. |
In 1996, Rob Caudill embraced his striking resemblance to Rod Stewart, taking Joe Walsh's advice to start a tribute career. Rob studied Stewart's videos, vocals, and mannerisms with dedication and it led to a musical journey that sent Caudill touring around the world.
When he tours, he brings along his "Tonight's the Night Band," a repertoire of over 100 Stewart songs spanning from The Faces to The Great American Songbook, and a wardrobe of vibrant, custom-made suits that perfectly match Rod's style. Rob's been a featured performer with the world-famous Legends in Concert show in Las Vegas for over 15 years and also leads his own production, featuring former Rod Stewart band members Carmine Appice and Katja Rieckermann. |
